Burton Adventist Academy took a three-set defeat the last time they faced off against Lakehill Prep, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Angels came out on top in a nail-biter against the Warriors on Tuesday, sneaking past 3-2.

Burton Adventist Academy took Lakehill Prep into a fifth set where they got it done with a eight-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 28-26, 21-25, 20-25, 15-7.

Burton Adventist Academy's offense was headlined by Abigail Belz and Avery Sinclair, who picked up eight kills apiece. They got some help from Ella Paul and her 33 assists. Layla Ofori controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Burton Adventist Academy's win bumped their record up to 11-5. As for Lakehill Prep, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-4.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Burton Adventist Academy is set to challenge their familiar foe Dallas International at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Lakehill Prep will square off against rival Highlands at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
