Football Recap: Montgomery Comes Up Short

Montgomery made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Summit, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Cougars fell just short of the Hilltoppers by a score of 31-28 on Friday. The Cougars have struggled against the Hilltoppers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Montgomery's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Summit, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Montgomery and Summit will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Cougars are set to challenge their familiar foe Somerville at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Summit will square off against rival Hillside at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
