Baseball Recap: Carlisle County Comets vs. Obion County Rebels
Carlisle County's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They never let the Obion County Rebels get on the board and left with a 7-0 win. That's more bragging rights for the Comets, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Koltyn Perez was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over four innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 3-for-3.
In other pitching news, Cooper Wright looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in April of 2024.
Back at the plate, Jonah Bruer was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Karter Hutchinson, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI and one double.
Carlisle County now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Obion County, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-2.
Coming up, Carlisle County will head out to take on Murray at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Obion County, they will be playing at home against Westview at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Westview will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
