Softball Recap: Woodcrest Christian Comes Up Short

Woodcrest Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against the Linfield Christian Lions, falling 15-4. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Lions this season, with their most recent loss being a 18-3 defeat last Tuesday.

Zara Gallardo made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run, two stolen bases, and two RBI.

Woodcrest Christian now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Linfield Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-2 record this season.

Woodcrest Christian will be playing at home against Aquinas at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Linfield Christian, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 10-4 win against Canyon Springs on the 12th.
