            Softball Preview: Yucca Valley Trojans vs. Rancho Mirage Rattlers        
        
		
        
        
            The Yucca Valley Trojans will challenge the Rancho Mirage Rattlers at 3:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Rancho Mirage took a loss in their last  contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Yucca Valley, who comes in off a win.
Yucca Valley took a loss when they played away from home  on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed  on Monday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Palm Springs  a   13-0 shutout.
 Alyssa Ramos was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  didn't allow a single  earned run over four innings pitched. Ramos was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring two  runs and  stealing two bases while going 1-for-2.

 In other batting news,  Leila Schwab was  incredible,  scoring three  runs and  stealing three bases while going 1-for-2. Those  three  stolen bases gave  her a new career-high.  Tayla Monroy was another key player,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
Meanwhile, Rancho Mirage fell victim to Coachella Valley and their airtight pitching crew  on Wednesday. They lost  6-0 to the Mighty Arabs. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest  defeat the Rattlers have suffered  against the Mighty Arabs since April 7, 2017.
 The result came thanks to  Anelisa Garcia's shutout, as she gave up just five  hits and racked up 11 Ks.
 Yucca Valley's win was  their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 1-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 14.8 runs over those games. As for Rancho Mirage, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
