North Marion hit Pendleton County with a five-run second inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Wildcat came up short against the Huskies, falling 13-3. The Wildcat's defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Pendleton County saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Travis Owens, who went 1-for-2 with one run. James Vincell also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Pendleton County's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for North Marion, they now also have a winning record of 6-5.

Coincidentally, Pendleton County and North Marion will both be playing Philip Barbour the next time they take the field. The Wildcat will head out to face the Colts at 11:15 a.m. on Saturday, while the Huskies will host them at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
