Volleyball Recap: Tivy Comes Up Short

Tivy lost against Westlake back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Antlers fell just short of the Chaparrals by a score of 2-1.

Westlake can attribute much of their success to Sunny McWilliams, who had 15 digs. McWilliams is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last six games she's played. LillyAnne Durham also deserves some recognition as she had her first kills of the season.

Tivy has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season. As for Westlake, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-4.

Coming up, Tivy will challenge Alamo Heights at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Westlake, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against O'Connor on the 23rd.
