Baseball Recap: Westlake Victorious

Westlake won the last time they faced Thousand Oaks and things went their way on Thursday too. The Warriors came out on top against the Lancers by a score of 7-3. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Warriors.

Mason Charles was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Blake Miller was another key player, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with one home run and three RBI.

Westlake always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .525. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Westlake's win bumped their record up to 13-4. As for Thousand Oaks, they dropped their record down to 9-8 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.

Westlake will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Lancers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
