Recap: Georgetown Day Mighty Hoppers vs. Flint Hill Huskies
The Georgetown Day Mighty Hoppers are ranked highly in their home state, and on Tuesday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of the Flint Hill Huskies. Georgetown Day was outmatched by Flint Hill on the road and fell 94-64. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Despite the loss, Georgetown Day still got an impressive performance from Tobias Viorst, who scored 31 points along with six steals. The game was Viorst's eighth in a row with at least ten points. Khalin Patel was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Georgetown Day's loss was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 4-4. As for Flint Hill, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1.
Georgetown Day will look to defend their home court on Thursday against McLean at 5:45 p.m. McLean has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 15. As for Flint Hill, they will head out on the road to face off against Landon at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
