Basketball Game Preview: Irving Tigers vs. Berkner Rams

The Irving Tigers will venture away from home to square off against the Berkner Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Irving will be strutting in after a win while Berkner will be coming in after a defeat.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, Irving turned things around against Nimitz on Friday. They skirted past the Vikings 42-40. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Tigers have posted against the Vikings since February 1, 2022.

Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Berkner's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell 81-72 to Lake Highlands. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 133rd, while the Wildcats are ranked 47th).

Irving's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-16. As for Berkner, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-11.

Irving might still be hurting after the 55-33 loss they got from Berkner when the teams last played on January 3rd. Can Irving avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
