Vermilion Catholic was the 4-3 winner over Breaux Bridge when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Eagles fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 6-5 on Wednesday. The Eagles' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Vermilion Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 16-7. As for Breaux Bridge, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-9-1 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Vermilion Catholic will host Vandebilt Catholic at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Breaux Bridge, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cecilia at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
