Basketball Recap: Pellston Comes Up Short

After flying high against Forest Area last Wednesday, Pellston came back down to earth. The Pellston Hornets took a blow against the East Jordan Red Devils on Friday, falling 61-11. While losing is never fun, the Hornets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 625th, while the Red Devils are ranked 153rd).

Pellston's loss dropped their record down to 2-17. As for East Jordan, their win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-5.

Looking ahead, Pellston will host Central Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for East Jordan, they are taking a road trip to challenge Onaway at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
