Softball Recap: Eastern Triumphs

While Eastern's victory against Paoli wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Musketeers skirted past the Rams 16-14. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Musketeers have posted since April 15, 2025.

Adriana Dolleris and Allie Johanningsmeier did most of the damage at the plate: Dolleris went 1-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and one double, while Johanningsmeier got on base in all five of her plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those two runs gave Dolleris a new career-high. Addison Heath was another key player, going 1-for-5 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Eastern was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .412. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Eastern's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-7. As for Paoli, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Looking ahead, Eastern will square off against Austin at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Paoli has already played their next game (against Tell City), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
