Canton-Galva and Remington are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2018, but likely not for long. The Eagles will head out to take on the Broncos on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with 13 consecutive losses dating back to last season for Canton-Galva and three for Remington.

Last Thursday, Canton-Galva came up short against Marion and fell 7-2.

Noah Collins put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out 11 batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off three hits. That's the fewest earned runs he has allowed since back in April of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one run. Those hits were his first of the season.

In other batting news, Garrett Silsby was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two doubles and one RBI. Those hits marked the first that he has got this season. Christian Rich was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Remington's offense. They came up short against Little River on Tuesday, falling 15-0.

Remington's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7-1. As for Canton-Galva, their loss dropped their record down to 0-12.

Everything went Canton-Galva's way against Remington when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Canton-Galva made off with a 10-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
