Softball Recap: Valley Takes a Loss

After flying high against Hope Christian on Thursday, Valley came back down to earth. The Vikings came up short against the West Las Vegas Dons on Monday, falling 15-1. The Vikings were red-hot at the plate heading into the match (they scored no less than ten runs in the three games prior), but the Dons' pitchers proved too tough.

Valley saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alexus Zubia, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Valley's defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 10-13. As for West Las Vegas, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 15-4.

Valley has already played their next contest (against Del Norte), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for West Las Vegas, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 15-1 victory against St. Michael's on the 29th.
