Baseball Game Preview: Paul Cuffee vs. Woonsocket Villa Novans

For the second straight game, Paul Cuffee will face off against Woonsocket. Paul Cuffee will venture away from home to face off against Woonsocket at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Paul Cuffee, yet to win a game, are hoping to taste some of the success that has characterized Woonsocket's (thus far) undefeated season.

Paul Cuffee fell victim to Woonsocket and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Villa Novans, falling 24-0.

For Woonsocket's part, Jordan Plante made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out six over five innings pitched. Plante was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while getting on base in two of his five plate appearances.

In other batting news, Jullian De Jesus was incredible, going 4-for-6 with five RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those RBI were his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Patrick Munger, who scored three runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

Woonsocket was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .448. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Paul Cuffee only posted a batting average of .000.

Paul Cuffee's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Woonsocket, their win was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-0.
