Baseball Recap: Monacan Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Cosby, Monacan was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Midlothian Trojans by a score of 7-4. This was a revenge game for the Chiefs: when they faced off against the Trojans back in March, they had to take a 8-6 loss.

The win got Monacan back to even at 6-6-1. As for Midlothian, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Monacan will welcome Richmond High School for the Arts at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Chiefs are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Midlothian, they will host Cosby at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Titans' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Trojans' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
