Softball Recap: Central Takes a Loss

Central blew George Washington out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Wednesday George Washington got their revenge. The Lancers fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 5-3. The match marked the Lancers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Central and nudges their season record down to 6-3. As for George Washington, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season.

Central will head out on the road to challenge String Theory at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. As for George Washington, they will welcome Northeast at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. The Vikings will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight.
