Softball Recap: New Waverly Takes a Loss

New Waverly fell victim to Franklin and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Franklin Lions, falling 10-0. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Bulldogs' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

New Waverly's loss dropped their record down to 3-6-2. As for Franklin, their win bumped their record up to 7-2-2.

The future could be bright for both New Waverly and Franklin: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. New Waverly will look to extend Navasota's three-game losing streak when they meet at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, Franklin will try to hand Connally their fifth-straight defeat when the two meet at 10:45 a.m. on Saturday.
