Baseball Game Preview: St. Edmund Fighting Blue Jays vs. Sacred Heart Trojans

St. Edmund is preparing for their first district matchup of the season on Tuesday. They will host the Sacred Heart Trojans at 6:00 p.m. St. Edmund hasn't scored more than two runs for three games straight, a trend the squad is eager to reverse.

Last Friday, St. Edmund didn't have quite enough to beat Franklin Parish and fell 3-2.

St. Edmund saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lannie Reed, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4. Wyatt Dubios also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Sacred Heart, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They were the clear victor by an 11-3 margin over Berchmans Academy on Monday.

Sacred Heart now has a winning record of 10-9. As for St. Edmund, their loss dropped their record down to 7-11.

St. Edmund beat Sacred Heart 13-8 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Will St. Edmund repeat their success, or does Sacred Heart have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
