The Pajaro Valley Grizzlies lost against the Monte Vista Christian Mustangs back in November of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Pajaro Valley was the victim of a rough 72-50 defeat at the hands of Monte Vista Christian. Pajaro Valley has struggled against Monte Vista Christian recently, as their game on Tuesday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Leading Monte Vista Christian to victory were Nico Downie and Braden Dobler. Downie scored 14 points along with six rebounds and four steals, while Dobler dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds. Dobler also grabbed two steals for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Matteo Vidal, who scored 12 points.
Pajaro Valley has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season. As for Monte Vista Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.
Pajaro Valley will head out on the road to face off against North Salinas at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Monte Vista Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against King City at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. King City will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 1235th, while Monte Vista Christian is ranked 532nd).
