First Baptist Christian came tearing into Monday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They secured a 30-24 W over the Homefires Flames. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 30-15 last Saturday.

First Baptist Christian's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-3. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 21.0 points per game. As for Homefires, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

First Baptist Christian has already played their next matchup, a 27-12 win against Maranatha Christian Academy on the 28th. Homefires does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
