Softball Recap: Silver Creek Comes Up Short

Silver Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 7-4 to the Lincoln Lions. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Raiders of the 5-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Silver Creek saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Riley Graves, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

Silver Creek's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Lincoln, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Silver Creek will host Christopher at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Silver Creek's pitchers better be ready for this one: Christopher has averaged an impressive 6.1 runs per game this season. As for Lincoln, they will be playing at home against Homestead at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Lincoln 3.8, Homestead 3.3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
