Volleyball Recap: ALA - Queen Creek's Victory on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

ALA - Queen Creek entered their tilt with Poston Butte on Wednesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Broncos. That's more bragging rights for the Patriots, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

While ALA - Queen Creek won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 26-24, 25-16.

Sara Bowcutt paced ALA - Queen Creek's offense, picking up 12 kills. Bowcutt got some help from Brinklee Johnson and her 22 assists. Johnson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

ALA - Queen Creek's victory bumped their record up to 15-8. As for Poston Butte, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season.

Coincidentally, ALA - Queen Creek and Poston Butte will both be playing ALA - Gilbert North the next time they take the court. The Patriots will head out to face the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Broncos will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
