Basketball Recap: Bluefield Comes Up Short

Bluefield lost against Chapmanville Regional back in March of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Bluefield Beavers lost to the Chapmanville Regional Tigers on the road by a 73-58 margin. While losing is never fun, the Beavers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' West Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 77th, while the Tigers are ranked 19th).

Bluefield's loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Chapmanville Regional, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-5.

Coming up, Bluefield will head out to face off against Graham at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Chapmanville Regional, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Tigers face off against the Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on February 17th.
