Softball Recap: Woodbridge Wins Going Away Against Potomac Senior

Woodbridge won the last time they faced Potomac Senior and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Vikings were the clear victors by a 16-2 margin over the Panthers. The Vikings might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by 14 runs or more this season.

Woodbridge let Bobbi Tate and Brooke Dutton run wild. Tate went a perfect 3-for-3 with two triples, two runs, and one RBI, while Dutton went a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Those four hits gave Dutton a new career-high. Mya Foster was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and one RBI.

Woodbridge always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Potomac Senior only posted an OBP of .292.

Woodbridge has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-8 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Potomac Senior, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.

Looking ahead, Woodbridge will take on Mountain View at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
