            Volleyball Recap: Live Oak Classical Falcons vs. Central Texas Christian Lions        
        
		
        
        
            
If Live Oak Classical was feeling good  fresh off their  3-0 takedown of Lutheran last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Falcons came up short against  the Central Texas Christian Lions on Thursday, falling  3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  3-0  on October 2nd.
 The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-21,  25-9.

 Despite the loss, Live Oak Classical still got an impressive performance from   Mia Flynn, who  had seven  digs and five  aces. Flynn has been hot recently, having  posted two or more  aces the last three times she's  played.  Edria Thapa also deserves some recognition as  she  had her first  block of the season.
 Central Texas Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Jenna Good, who  had 13  assists and nine  digs. That's the most  digs  Good has posted  over her last seven  contests. Another player making a difference was  Brianna Beltran, who  had three  digs and two  aces.
Live Oak Classical's defeat  ended  a  three-match streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 9-17. As for Central Texas Christian, the  victory (which was their 18th in a row) raised their record to 38-3-1.
 Live Oak Classical does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Central Texas Christian, they will square off against Little River Academy at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
