Softball Recap: Edison Tommies vs. Roosevelt Teddies

Edison had lost three straight at home, but on Saturday they dropped down to 8-7 to make it four. They came up short against the Roosevelt Teddies, falling 24-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Teddies this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 last Thursday.

As for Roosevelt, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games.

For Roosevelt's part, Olivia Wohnoutka made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. Wohnoutka has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
