Softball Recap: Poquoson Islanders vs. York Falcons
Poquoson is still undefeated this season after their contest against York on Friday, but York came as close as anyone has to beating them. Poquoson came out on top in a nail-biter against York, sneaking past 9-7. The Islanders have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Falcons, too.
Natalie Klochak tossed a big game, pitching 6.1 innings while giving up four earned runs off seven hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, Poquoson let Alyssa Laney and Brooklyn Mason run wild. Laney scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3, while Mason scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4.
