Basketball Recap: Newfane Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Mac Capen and Camlo Flowers

Newfane lost against Niagara-Wheatfield back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Newfane Panthers fell 38-31 to the Niagara-Wheatfield Falcons. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Camlo Flowers and Mac Capen certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Flowers went 6-for-12 en route to 18 points, while Capen almost dropped a double-double with 11 points and nine rebounds. Capen has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more boards the last 12 times he's played.

Newfane's loss dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Niagara-Wheatfield, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 1-6.

Coming up, Newfane will head out to square off against Albion at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Niagara-Wheatfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
