Softball Recap: Franklin Snags 22nd Win in Last 24 Games

With a playoff win on the line, Franklin rose to the challenge on Saturday. They blew past the Groesbeck Goats 14-2. Considering the Lions have won 18 games by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Franklin has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 22 of their last 24 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-4-2 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.4 runs over those games. As for Groesbeck, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-16.

Looking ahead, Franklin will take on Troy on Saturday. The Trojans will roll in looking for their 12th straight victory, something the Lions surely won't give up without a fight. Groesbeck does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
