Volleyball Recap: John Hardin Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

John Hardin won the last time they faced North Hardin and things went their way on Saturday too. The Bulldogs narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Trojans 2-1. The win was some much needed relief for the Bulldogs as it spelled an end to their five-match losing streak.

John Hardin had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-14, 15-7.

John Hardin was led to victory by Kiley Wells and Abby Moore. Wells had 14 digs, seven kills, and five aces, while Moore had 11 digs, eight kills, and two aces. That's the most digs Wells has posted since back in August. Another player making a difference was Kaylynn Curry, who had 18 assists and one block.

They weren't the only good servers: John Hardin was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. They are 8-3 when they serve at least ten aces.

John Hardin's record now sits at 13-16. As for North Hardin, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-22.

John Hardin wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Central on the 4th. As for North Hardin, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Washington County at 7:30 p.m. on the 15th.
