Softball Recap: Dexter's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

After flying high against Searsport on Friday, Dexter came back down to earth. The Tigers lost 9-1 to the Mattanawcook Lynx on Tuesday. The loss put an end to the Tigers' undefeated start to the season.

Dexter saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kayleigh Dunton, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Having lost for the first time this season, Dexter fell to 2-1. As for Mattanawcook, they pushed their record up to 2-0 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Dexter didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 8-2 loss against Bucksport on the 30th. As for Mattanawcook, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 20-2 win against Lee Academy on the 30th.
