Volleyball Recap: Scarborough Starts off Right with Win over Gorham

Scarborough had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They put the hurt on the Gorham Rams with a sharp 3-0 win. This was payback for the Red Storm, who suffered a 3-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

While Scarborough might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Gorham scored at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 26-24, 25-19.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Scarborough will venture away from home to face off against Marshwood at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Gorham, they are packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will take on Sanford at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
