Chavez has gone 8-2 against Poly recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Eagles will host the Parrots at 6:00 p.m. Poly took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Chavez, who comes in off a win.
Chavez came out on top against Arleta on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run fourth inning. The Eagles walked away with an 8-5 victory over the Mustangs. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Gabby Duran looked comfortable as she tossed four innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Jordan Billingsley was a standout: she went 2-for-5 with three RBI and one triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyssa Anaya, who went 3-for-4 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.
Chavez hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Arleta struck out eight times.
Meanwhile, Poly was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They took an 11-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of San Fernando.
VALERY MENENDEZ made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. ROCHELLE MORENO was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Poly's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Chavez, the win got them back to even at 7-7.
Friday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Chavez hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .338. However, it's not like Poly struggles in that department as they've averaged .340. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Chavez's way against Poly when the teams last played back in April, as Chavez made off with a 16-9 victory. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Parrots turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
