Basketball Recap: Whitesboro Now 6-1 over Last Seven Games

It was a proper cat-fight when Whitesboro duked it out withLife Oak Cliff on Friday. The Whitesboro Bearcats secured a 57-53 W over the Life Oak Cliff Lions. Given the Bearcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 275th, while the Lions are ranked 855th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Whitesboro has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.4 points per game. As for Life Oak Cliff, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Whitesboro will challenge Pilot Point at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Whitesboro is facing Pilot Point at the right time seeing as Pilot Point is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Life Oak Cliff, they will face off against Village Tech at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
