Basketball Recap: Unity Christian Academy Comes Up Short

If Unity Christian Academy was feeling good fresh off their 66-19 takedown of Universal last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Unity Christian Academy Phoenix were beaten by the Providence Catholic Celtics 69-18 on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Phoenix can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 483rd, while the Celtics are ranked 95th).

Unity Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Providence Catholic, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 16-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Unity Christian Academy has already played their next match (against College Prep of America), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Providence Catholic will face off against IC Catholic Prep at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
