Douglas had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.8 runs) and they went ahead and made it seven on Wednesday. They blew past the Cholla Chargers 8-2. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won nine matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Douglas saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Trase Rodriguez, who went 1-for-3 with two runs.

Douglas always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .545. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cholla only posted an OBP of .296.

Douglas pushed their record up to 15-8-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Cholla, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-7 record this season.

Douglas will face off against Eastmark at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Cholla does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
