Bennington is 9-1 against Blair since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Badgers will square off against the Bears at 7:00 p.m. Bennington will be strutting in after a win while Blair will be coming in after a loss.

Bennington took a four-goal defeat the last time they faced off against Gretna, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Badgers had just enough and edged out the Dragons 1-0 on Tuesday. The victory was familiar territory for Bennington, who have now won three games in a row.

Meanwhile, Blair faced Gretna East in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Bears fell just short of the Griffins by a score of 4-3. The loss was Blair's first of the season.

Brynn Ray and Cadence Field scored all three of Blair's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 38 goals.

Bennington's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Blair, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 9-1.

Bennington beat Blair 2-0 when the teams last played back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Badgers since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
