Basketball Recap: Menasha Comes Up Short

If Menasha was riding high fresh off their 82-48 takedown of Green Bay Southwest last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Menasha Bluejays took a 68-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Xavier Hawks. The Bluejays haven't had much luck with the Hawks recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Menasha's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-3. As for Xavier, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.

Menasha and Denmark will round out the year against one another at at 3:15 p.m. on December 28th. Menasha knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Denmark likes a good challenge. As for Xavier, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against North at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
