Basketball Recap: East Sac County Comes Up Short

If East Sac County was feeling good fresh off their 41-20 takedown of Odebolt Arthur Battle Creek Ida Grove last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The East Sac County Raiders were outmatched by the Newell-Fonda Mustangs and fell 66-28. The contest marked the Raiders' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

East Sac County's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Newell-Fonda, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

When East Sac County and Newell-Fonda next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. East Sac County will try to stop Pocahontas' four-game winning streak when the meet at 6:15 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Newell-Fonda will take on Estherville Lincoln Central and their four-game winning streak at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
