Basketball Recap: Marlboro County Comes Up Short

While it was all tied up 24-24 at halftime, Marlboro County was not quite Newberry's equal in the second half on Thursday. They took a 51-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of Newberry.

Marlboro County's loss dropped their record down to 9-15. As for Newberry, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-16.

Marlboro County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Newberry, they will challenge Dillon at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Dillon will roll in looking for their 13th straight victory, something Newberry surely won't give up without a fight.
