Softball Recap: Oak Hill Comes Up Short

If Oak Hill was feeling good fresh off their 19-1 takedown of Mount Abram on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Raiders fell 5-2 to the Hall-Dale Bulldogs on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the Raiders in their meetings with the Bulldogs: they've now lost seven in a row.

Oak Hill saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Izzy Whitaker, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

Oak Hill's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Hall-Dale, their win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oak Hill will square off against Dirigo at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Raiders will need to watch out since the Cougars have now posted at least ten runs in their last five matchups. As for Hall-Dale, they will head out on the road to square off against Monmouth Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
