In other batting news, Sydney Gillmore was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Ava Cornacchione, who scored two runs while going 1-for-4.
Pine Lake Prep's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-3. As for Bradford Prep, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Bradford Prep hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .386.
