Recap: Nelson Island Islanders vs. Ayaprun Jaegers
The Nelson Island Islanders won the last time they faced the Ayaprun Jaegers, and things went their way on Saturday too. In a tight game that could have gone either way, Nelson Island made off with a 49-48 win over Ayaprun. That's two games straight that Nelson Island has won by exactly one point.
Nelson Island got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Rebecca Tulik out in front who scored 11 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Tulik has scored all season. Bethany Lincoln was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
The win made it two in a row for Nelson Island and bumps their season record up to 5-5. As for Ayaprun, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Nelson Island didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 46-35 victory vs. Nuniwarmiut on the 10th. Ayaprun does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
