Basketball Game Preview: Bruce Red Raiders vs. Northwood Evergreens

The Bruce Red Raiders will head out to challenge the Northwood Evergreens at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Last Friday, Bruce came up short against Gilman and fell 75-66.

Meanwhile, Northwood was not able to break out of their rough patch two weeks ago as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 82-42 loss at the hands of Grantsburg. While losing is never fun, the Evergreens can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 431st, while the Pirates are ranked 75th).

Northwood's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Bruce, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.

Bruce beat Northwood 65-52 when the teams last played back in December of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bruce since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
