Basketball Recap: Kai Miller's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Camden County over Currituck County + How To Watch

After flying high against Franklin on Tuesday, Camden County came back down to earth. The Bruins lost 83-57 to the Currituck County Knights on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bruins of the 72-62 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February.

Camden County's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kai Miller, who posted three points and ten boards. Miller has been hot recently, having posted nine or more rebounds the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Brayden Gray, who earned 16 points.

Jamie Dance was a one-man wrecking crew For Currituck County. as he dropped a double-double with 32 points and 11 boards. That makes it three consecutive games in which Dance has scored at least a third of the Knights' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tristan Peterson, who shot 50% from the field en route to 20 points and five rebounds.

Camden County's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Currituck County, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Camden County has already played their next matchup, a 71-48 defeat against Pasquotank County on the 6th. As for Currituck County, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will challenge Holmes at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
