Baseball Game Preview: Carnegie Vanguard Rhinos vs. Randle Lions

For the second straight game, Carnegie Vanguard will face off against Randle. The Rhinos will challenge the Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Carnegie Vanguard's pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so Randle's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Carnegie Vanguard heads in on the heels of a playoff match on Thursday. They fell just short of Randle by a score of 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Rhinos have suffered since March 9, 2024.

For Randle's part, the team relied heavily on Cristian Elizondo, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double. That's the most RBI Elizondo has posted since back in February.

Randle has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-12-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.6 runs on average over those games. As for Carnegie Vanguard, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-7.
