Softball Recap: Elsinore Continues Road Dominance on Wednesday

Elsinore owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 9-0 margin over the Tahquitz Titans. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Titans recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Breann Lipold made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in eight consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-5 with one run and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jaycee Hullar, who went 3-for-5 with three runs and one triple. Another player making a difference was Haylie Box, who went 2-for-3 with three runs and one RBI.

Elsinore was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .412. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Tahquitz only posted a batting average of .154.

Elsinore's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-6. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Tahquitz, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-7.

Elsinore wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 12-0 win against West Valley on the 18th. As for Tahquitz, they have also already played their next contest, an 8-6 defeat against San Jacinto on the 18th.
