Basketball Game Preview: Salado Eagles vs. Taylor Ducks

Salado and Taylor are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2019, but not for long. The Salado Eagles will challenge the Taylor Ducks at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

On Tuesday, Salado was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 49-45 to Lampasas. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Taylor was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 70-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of Marble Falls.

Salado's loss dropped their record down to 10-15. As for Taylor, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-10.

Salado didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Taylor when the teams last played back in November of 2023, but they still walked away with a 64-59 win. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Taylor's Treos Richardson, who almost dropped a double-double on 29 points and nine boards.
